RDFL Trade Apprentice : Selection Process

Step-by-Step Selection Process RDFL Trade Apprentice

1. Register on Apprenticeship Portals

• For Trade Apprentice → register on NAPS (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in)

• For Technician/Graduate Apprentice → register on NATS (nats.education.gov.in)

2. Apply on RCFL Website

• Go to rcfltd.com → HR → Recruitment → “Engagement of Apprentices 2025-26”

• Download & read the advertisement

• Click Apply Online, fill the form carefully

• Choose your unit preference (Trombay or Thal) → once chosen, it cannot be changed later

3. Upload Documents & Submit Form

• Upload photo (≤ 75 KB, jpg/jpeg) and signature (≤ 25 KB, jpg/jpeg)

• Save/submit the form and take a print copy (required at the time of joining/document check)

4. Merit List Preparation

• Based on percentage of marks in qualifying exam (if CGPA, you must provide a conversion certificate)

• Reservation rules will be applied

• SC/ST/PwBD candidates get 5% relaxation in marks for final selection

• If two candidates have the same marks → higher qualification or higher marks in previous class will be considered

5. Document Verification (DV)
Shortlisted candidates from the merit list must attend DV with:

• Date of Birth proof

• All mark sheets & certificates

• Category/EWS/OBC (NCL) certificate in Central Govt. format

• CGPA to Percentage conversion certificate

• PAN Card & Aadhaar Card

• Bank passbook with printed name (DBT enabled)

• Medical Fitness Certificate (as per RCFL format/Annexure)

6. Apprenticeship Contract Approval

• After DV, your apprenticeship contract will be approved on NATS/NAPS portal

• You must join on the same date as the contract approval date → late joining will lead to cancellation

7. Training / Joining

• Posting will be at Trombay (Mumbai) or Thal (Raigad) unit → posting is non-transferable

• RCFL provides uniform, PPE, and OPD medical facilities during training

Step 1 – Register on Apprenticeship Portal

 Fill the Application Form

• Click on Apply Online

• Enter personal details, educational details, and apprenticeship registration number (from NATS/NAPS)

• Select Unit Preference (Trombay or Thal) → Once selected, cannot be changed

 Upload Documents

• Photograph (Max 75 KB, jpg/jpeg format)

• Signature (Max 25 KB, jpg/jpeg format)

 Submit Application

• Review all details carefully before final submission

• Click Submit and download/print the application form
  (You will need this copy during Document Verification & Joining)

6 – Wait for Merit List

• RCFL will prepare a Merit List based on your qualification marks

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification & Medical Exam
