PFRDA Assistant Manager : Selection Process
|
Selection Process Overview :
The selection is a three-phase process comprising:
- Phase I – Online Screening Examination

Two objective-type papers, each 100 marks.

Paper 1: General Aptitude (English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General/Economic Awareness) – 60 minutes.

Paper 2: Stream-specific subject knowledge – 40 minutes.

Negative marking: ¼ mark deducted per wrong answer.

Purpose: Qualifying in nature to shortlist candidates for Phase II. Marks are not counted for final merit.
- Phase II – Online Main Examination
- Two papers, each 100 marks.

Paper 1: Descriptive English (e.g., essay, precis, comprehension) – 60 minutes.

Paper 2: Stream-specific objective-type (MCQs) – 40 minutes.

Negative marking: Applicable for Paper 2 (1/4th mark penalty).

Paper 1 evaluation condition: Only evaluated if the candidate meets minimum qualifying marks in Paper 2.

Shortlisting for Phase III requires separate and aggregate cut-offs in both papers.
- Phase III – Interview
- Final shortlisted candidates are called for an interview.
- The interview may be conducted in Hindi or English.
- The final merit list is based on:
- 85% weightage from Phase II
- 15% weightage from the Interview
