The EMRS (Eklavya Model Residential School) EMRS Teaching or Non Teaching Recruitment Exam is conducted by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), which operates under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. Step-by-Step Selection Process – EMRS 2025

Step 1: Online Application

  • Candidates have to apply through the official EMRS website.

  • Upload documents and pay the application fee.

  • After successful submission, admit cards are issued for the exams.

 Step 2: Tier-I Exam (Preliminary Written Test)

  • This is an objective-type (MCQ) test.

  • Conducted for all posts (both Teaching & Non-Teaching).

  • It is a qualifying exam, i.e., you must clear the cut-off to move to the next stage.

Applicable For: All posts
Mode: Offline (OMR-based)
Purpose: Shortlisting candidates

Step 3: Tier-II Exam (Subject-Specific / Main Exam)

  • This is a subject-specific or advanced-level exam.

  • It is the main exam for selection in most posts.

  • Marks from this exam are considered for the final merit list.

Applicable For: All Teaching and some Non-Teaching posts
Type: MCQs or Descriptive (depends on the post)
Important: Final selection is mostly based on this exam

Step 4: Interview (Only for Some Posts)

  • Only specific posts like Principal or Vice Principal include an interview.

  • The final merit for these posts is calculated as:
    80% from Tier-II exam + 20% from Interview

Applicable For: Principal, Vice Principal
Weightage: Written + Interview

Step 5: Skill / Typing Test (Only for Some Non-Teaching Posts)

  • Posts like Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) require a typing test.

  • This is a qualifying test — marks are not added to the final merit but you must pass.

Applicable For: JSA, Clerk, Lab Attendant, etc.
Nature: Qualifying only

Step 6: Document Verification

  • All shortlisted candidates have to show their original certificates for verification.

  • If any document is missing, fake, or invalid — the candidate is disqualified.

Documents: Educational certificates, caste certificate, experience proof, ID, etc.

Step 7: Final Selection / Merit List

  • Candidates who clear all stages are placed in the final merit list.

  • The final selection is based on marks obtained in:

    • Tier-II Exam

    • + Interview (if applicable)

    • (Skill Test is qualifying, not merit-based)

How to Apply – EMRS 2025

  1. Check the Notification

    • Registration / Creating Login

    • On the EMRS website, find the link for “Recruitment” or “Apply Online” for EMRS Teaching & Non‑Teaching 2025.

  2. Fill in the Application Form

    • Log in with your credentials.
