Air Force Agniveer Vayu Intake: Eligibility Criteria

Education: 

  • Science stream: 10+2 with Physics, Maths, English (≥ 50% aggregate, ≥ 50% in English)
  • Or Engineering diploma, or vocational course with PCM (same marks criteria)

Physical & Medical Standards:

Minimum height 152 cm, chest expansion 5 cm, run, push-ups, sit-ups per prescribed norms. Specific medical and physical standards as per official notification

Reward & Pay Scale:

Service tenure: 4 years under Agnipath.
Monthly in-hand salary starts at ₹21,000, increasing to ₹28,000 by 4th year. At exit, corpus fund + government matching totals ~₹10 lakh

Benefits & Scheme Details:

  • 4 years of training and service in Air Force
  • No pension, but a lump-sum payment (~₹11.71 lakh) at tenure completion
  • Insurance cover up to ₹50 lakh during service
  • Opportunity to apply for permanent roles (up to 25%) or civilian jobs in CAPFs/state police
