SSC JHT : Selection Process

Paper-I (CBT – Objective)
Format:
- Section I: General Hindi — 100 questions, 100 marks
- Section II: General English — 100 questions, 100 marks
- Total: 200 marks, duration 2 hours (extra 40 minutes for VH/OH candidates) .
Negative Marking: Har wrong answer par 0.25 marks penalty.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR: 30%
- OBC/EWS: 25%
- All others: 20%.
Paper-II (Descriptive)
Tasks:
- Translation: Hindi to English (1 passage) & English to Hindi (1 passage)
- Essay: One essay in Hindi, one in English.
Marks & Duration:
- Total: 200 marks
- Duration: 2 hours (plus extra time for VH/OH candidates) .
Document Verification (DV)
Paper II ke marks ke basis pe shortlisted candidates ko document verification ke liye bulaya jaayega, jahan unke original educational, age, category, experience (agar applicable) documents check honge.
Medical Examination
Document Verification clear karne ke baad, selected candidates ko Medical Examination ke liye bulaya jata hai, jahan physical fitness aur health standards verify kiye jaate hain.
Final Merit & Posting Allocation
Final merit list banega, jo Paper-I aur Paper-II ke marks ke combined basis pe taya hoga .
Allocation of departments/ministry post merit-cum-preference ke basis par hota hai (ek baar allocation ho jaaye, usmein changes allowed nahi hote)
