UGC NET में दो पेपर होते हैं —

पेपर 1: शिक्षण और शोध योग्यता पर आधारित (50 प्रश्न, 100 अंक)।

पेपर 2: चुने हुए विषय पर आधारित (100 प्रश्न, 200 अंक)।

अंतिम वर्ष के छात्र भी आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

JRF के लिए अधिकतम आयु सीमा 30 वर्ष है (आरक्षित वर्ग को छूट मिलती है)।

उम्मीदवार को पेपर 1 और 2 के कुल अंकों के आधार पर मूल्यांकित किया जाता है।

General वर्ग के लिए 40% और आरक्षित वर्ग के लिए 35% न्यूनतम अंक आवश्यक हैं।

कुल उम्मीदवारों में से लगभग 6% उम्मीदवारों को Assistant Professor पात्रता मिलती है।

उनमें से शीर्ष 1% उम्मीदवारों को JRF भी प्रदान किया जाता है।
